TERMS & CONDITIONS for the Hire of Abracadabra Disco

To be read and signed by YOU the client.

Any cancellations or notified changes must be made at least 28 days prior to the date of event in writing. If you fail to cancel your booking before this date you may be charged the full fee.

Confirmation booking fees will not be refunded under any circumstances.

A booking confirmation fee of £40.00 is to be forwarded together with the signed duplicate of a contract. This £40.00 confirmation fee will be deducted from the total hire cost and is non-returnable. The booking confirmation fee and duplicate contract MUST be returned within 21 days of issue otherwise it will be void.

You are responsible for any damage to our equipment caused by any person at the clients event. You may be charged for the full cost of any repairs required should the damage be due to the negligence of your guests. You will be advised of any damage as soon as it is caused.

We do not tolerate violent, aggressive or abusive behaviour at events and we reserve the right to terminate our services at any time that we feel our personal safety is under threat.
 
The balance of the booking fee must be paid in cash before the start of the performance. If you wish to pay by cheque we require this 7 days in advance of the booking date.  Failed payment of any fees up to 14 days after the date of the event will result in further legal action.

The time required to set up the equipment depends upon access into the venue and the amount of equipment to be used.
You are responsible for advising us of access or arranging for the venue to contact us with access advice. If advised incorrectly it is not our responsibility if we start late due to not having equipment in situ at the start time.

Should you book other entertainment such as a singer or band to work with Abracadabra Disco please make sure there is enough space available where the disco will be situated. We require a minimum area of 2.5m deep by 3m wide for a standard disco.

We also reserve the right to refuse to continue any event prior to the start should there not be sufficient floor space which would not allow the audio / lighting equipment to be assembled safely and which through no fault of our own we believe to cause a hazard to either ourselves or your guests.

We will not be responsible for any damage or loss to private or public property caused by invited guests or members of the public.

 All equipment that is used is checked prior to arrival & has been fully tested for safety by a qualified electrical engineer.  If we are linking our equipment within a fixed in-house audio system, we may reserve the right to refuse to do so if the equipment is considered by ourselves to be unsafe or in our opinion likely to cause harm to either ourselves or one of your guests through its use.

We operate at all times with public liability insurance cover. This cover provides protection for both us and your guests. Our cover is only applicable to accidents or occurrences directly involving equipment or actions that form part of the Abracadabra Disco. At no time will our insurance cover any accidents caused by the negligence of the venue, your guests or any other party or service provided at your venue.

All bookings should be taken on the understanding that the venue is in possession of the necessary entertainment & liquor licenses.  We are not responsible if the venue is found to be in breach of the terms of their license.

We reserve the right to alter any or all of the above at any time.

These terms and conditions shall form part of the contract for the facilities, the order for which is accepted and no alteration will be accepted unless agreed by both parties. In the event of any inconsistency between the printed text and any alterations the former will prevail.
